EN RUTA GIRONA

wants that you continue doing what you like to do. And if you want to do tourism we don’t want that any kind of functional diversity or disability to be an impediment.

Many of our excursions have a low difficulty, and many can be readapted to make them more accessible. In addition, fortunately, the territory is making great efforts to be increasingly an inclusive destination and there are increasingly more tourist resources adapted.

And if you are afraid of mobility in a mountain region, you should to know that at the initiative of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava i Pirineu de Girona and in collaboration with the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, the activities accredited with the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) we can have a Joëlette chair.

The Joëlette chair is an all-terrain chair with a wheels that allows us to practice hiking and other leisure activities in the natural environment, arriving where a classic wheelchair can not reach. In addition, it favors the enjoyment, knowledge, trust and resilience of the visitor. With a previous 15-minute training, the guide and the companions will learn to use it without problems: the member of the group that goes to the rear assures the balance while the member of the group that goes ahead is the responsable of the traction and direction. For more information, you can visit the official Joëlette and Co website.

If you are interested in having the Joëlette bicycle, you just have to choose an activity to do and ask us to request the all-terrain chair to the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of the Garrotxa.
